Creamy Mushroom Steaks
Ingredients
2
pounds beef top loin steaks -- cut into 4 or 6 pieces
1
Tablespoon butter
1
each red bell pepper -- cut into strips
1
each green bell pepper -- cut into strips
1/2
pound fresh mushrooms -- sliced
2
Tablespoons butter
3
tablespoons onion -- chopped
1
cup heavy cream
1
cup water
2
teaspoons soy sauce
1
each salt and pepper -- to taste

Instructions
1. Saute sliced mushrooms in butter until slightly browned.
2. Add in onions and saute for 3 minutes.
3. Add remaining ingredients and let simmer, uncovered, until slightly thikened (you can whisk in 1-2 T soy flour that has been dissolved in 1/4 cup water if desired for a thicker sauce).
4. Fry steaks in remaining butter for 2 minutes each side.
5. Remove and stir fry pepper strips for 2 minutes.
6. Add steaks and sauce back in and simmer 10 minutes or until steaks are at desired doneness.
